Garmin GPS - I bought a used Garmin Handheld Marine GPS navigator through town & Lake US map. Unfortunately, the proprietary format does not allow you to install both on your SD card from 1. So it is practically required 1 GPS to drive to the Lake and another GPS for navigation or SD card for foreign plans that increase the risk of losing the card. I bought this unit for use in a Kayak before, but maybe I should bring a magnifying glass to really be able to read it. Floating unit which is a plus. Of course it would be great to be able to install the Navionics charts or something similar. Navionics charts can be updated at least on. The next unit that purchases may be Handheld after doing research, the advanced mapping options appear to be much greater. Used Garmin Marine GPS

I have an old software and the 76csx and user options is the best way on old and new base map Basemap. But having said that, I love this GPS hanheld garmin ! Magic screen, clear and colorful operating system very quickly. Very happy with purchase! I'm an avid fisherman and a professional yacht Captain part-time, handhelds I get beaten up and used almost every day. The unit died in the same month that the warranty! I found this problem with Garmin before and now I think I've had enough with their product. Earlier this month that drives sprayed with waves while fishing, he allowed his face to the Sun. The condensation that forms on the screen and a few weeks later he died while at work
I've been using this on about 200 days per year in the field since I started a few years ago. I put a screen protector on it and turn it once or twice a year. I use it all day every day to work in biology field trips, sailing 2.4 km with marks, data points, etc, it took some getting used to Basecamp and I am still using Mapsource for some things to work with files, but Garmin waaay easier than goods deLorme. I had the Earthmate Delorme PN-60w backup/replacement of old Garmin 76 when I got shot and I find it PN60much difficult to understand, and the crazy software. I'm good because fo the ability to download satellite images of them. Software DeLorme's boring, too many layers. Garmin just saying resolutions and go for it. Garmin download speed is slow. To get the 150 miles of 100 mile area in high resolution, expecting to spend half a day to come back and click on the next section that you want to download. 200 MB file will take an hour or more. I tried it on a faster connection than I setup MB/sec, and it's still annoying slow.
Cons this Used Garmin Handheld Marine GPS sat imagery is slow to download, need them $30 subscription service. Oh, and if you sit the picture on your computer that you downloaded while in reality, after the subscription expires, you can move it back to your device. They want $30 per year. Uh, the cost of doing business for me, may not be as attractive for recreational users.
