Best Garmin Handheld GPS 2017

Garmin Handheld GPS - After using and loving, the Garmin GPS MAP 60CSx for years, I decided to "upgrade" to buy Garmin Handheld GPS 64st. above all, I would like the United States, but the finest detail map integrated Bluetooth connectivity also looked interesting and perhaps useful. I also wanted the ability to store more of the track and the track is longer. I'm using 64st for several months, I can say that the 64st isn't as good as the 60CSx. in most ways that matter to me, the predecessor of the 60CSx better. Where the 60CSx seemed to have been designed by someone who really raise and rely on the Garmin Handheld GPS unit, the 64st feels like it was designed by a Committee whose sole purpose is to come up with points to appear in advertising.

To start with the battery of evil 64st. The battery on the 60CSx survived at least 2 or 3 times as long as they are in the 64st. even come close to 64st, disable features like Bluetooth and GLONASS and use the display mode "save battery" (which means that you are on the screen, unless you press the button). To work around this problem, the manual suggests using a lithium battery. You can also use rechargeable batteries.

Also the user's manual for minimalists 64st document is emerging should be designed to prevent them from finding out how 64st should work. the 60csx is manual 116 pages long and very competitive. 64st manual is 18 pages. It contains only basic information. For example, the 64st are called profiles. Displays the profile must be designed to save a group of settings. The manual does not contain information about profiles that are included with the 64st or what setting is influenced by the profile. The profiles supplied with the 64st "classic", "Hiking" and "Geocaching". There is no information in the manual explains the difference in profile. "Classic" is the default. I thought since I mainly used GPS for hiking, I will change the profile of the "classic" for "walkers". Is a big mistake. When you have selected the profile, 64st trying to "find route". Of course, because the device does not have a portion of the line was built, "calculation" always failed never found the path. Even if it could "count" route would be less useful because there is no way to know which road you want to take

I often have problems with points including 64st crap on track towards odometer readings absurd. Before you start going up, I'm waiting for GPS to get good solid position and a good location. Then reset the trip odometer and other travel arrangements to zero. I started to climb and find one or two minutes later he thinks my 64st raised 60 miles! Clear that the 64st has at least one point which is false and is included in the odometer mileage. How difficult would it be for Garmin Handheld GPS to conclude that it is not possible to travel 24.000 miles per hour and ignore the point of herring.
